![]() Restoring the Layer State in side an activated viewport window of a Layout would not change anything in the modelspace as the layers will be shown as VP-freeze. In AutoCAD 2011 it did work perfect for me. This doesn't look to work in AutoCAD 2012, where the layer will be a normal freeze and thus also the modelspace will change and also any other layout that make use of our Layer States.ĭoes anyone know how to fix this? Or is this a bug that will be fixed soon? It is very annoying at the moment. ![]() In AutoCAD 2011 a frozen layer that is saved in model space and restored back again in viewport will be VP freeze. The clue in AutoCAD 2011 was to put all the layers on/thawed in the model space, and then you could browse nice through the layout tabs to see all the plots with different Layer States. We have about 6 or 7 layouts with all different Layer States. Then, see I restore this Layer State in my Layout by double clicking in the viewport and select the Layer State I want to see in this Layout. ![]() In AutoCAD 2011 I usually saved the specific Layer State in the model space and freezed the Layers. We make plenty of times use of Layer States at my job to make complex drawings look simple when editing a specific part. Previous week I installed the new AutoCAD 2012. Hope you guys can solve my problem underneath.
